Well February 2015 could have been better!  Generated 125KWh when estimate was 137.  Have got to get panels cleaned this month to take advantage of improving weather.  March didn't improve tremendously with only 82% being generated.

20th March 2015 Spring Clean!  
Got the panels cleaned by a company called Clear Exterior from Belper.  Cost £50 and they were among the cheaper so it's not a bad business to get into in my view!

After not a bad first full year we're now into what should be a worse second year as either the panels or the invertor get less good over time apparently - will have to work out why that is.  For now have just put same estimate as for year 1.   We'll see what will be.

February 2015's numbers - not as good as I thought they were!! Was comparing Feb's actual against January's estimate!!

1st Year - real vs estimate

1st February 2015 - How did we do?

First year has been not far from estimate really.  1.9% down.   Bad months were April, May, June and October so some of the summer months when we should have been making hay we simply didn't. Never mind, £550 worth of leccy generated to take off the £6,500 cost.  Hopefully few good years will speed it along.  That's also not taking into account any electricity we use.

December 2014 ended up a little bit up on estimate but overall we're still down 2.13%.  Not bad all the same.

Cripes what a busy month.  Didn't even start a blog post off until the month was done!

Wierdly we generated 2 units more than estimated so I a sort of a result!!  Overall for the first year we're 2.13% down on estimate so not the end of the world and we had some crappy months.

Starting the month 41 units down on the year.  There's only 104 units estimated for the whole of November so it's looking unlikely we can pull them back which is a shame.  Still, we'll see.

It started off well but in the end we only generated 75% of estimate for November - been grey and miserable most days in fairness.  Could have been worse as last day of month was a decent day - when I was up in the attic around lunchtime we were already on 5.5KWH which was much higher that most days.   Such is life.  We're now about 67 KWH down.

Not strictly solar but energy efficient none-the -less, I've put a 10W LED Security light up on Phil's shed and it's marvellous.  £20 from Maplins.
